There are many deep holes caused by erosion along the concrete barrier at Bayou St. John (from the East side of Moss St. in the area of Dumaine St. going toward Esplanade, and likely beyond). I was told by the Orleans Levee Board that responsibility for maintaining this area is now that of the Park & Parkways Dept. Do citizens need to request attention to this Safety issue each time it's needed, or could the grass-cutters report when they encounter holes large enough to be a concern for twisted ankles & broken bones by people walking in the area at night or when the holes are obscured by long grass? It's certainly past time now, and I would appreciate knowing how to handle this in the future, as I try to keep an eye on the situation near my property. Thank you.

All of the storm drains in the 1700 block of Audubon St are clogged with the sand placed by construction crews in the road verges after demo of sidewalks and street surface for drainage repairs. Even a brief rain fills the whole block with flood water that takes at least 48 hours to drain. The problem is worsening, threatening cars, homes, and creating a pest issue. This block never flooded until the drainage repairs were made. There are at least five drains on this block that need to be professionally cleaned. The city should also plant grass or ground cover in road verges to prevent the sand from filling the street.
